Welcome to the 1st & 6th!
@ AyrshireSeaScouts.Org.UK
Welcome to the 1st & 6th Ayrshire Sea Scouts. Our group is an amalgamation of the 1st Irvine Sea Scouts, founded in 1909, and the 6th Ayrshire, first registered in 21st April 1932 as 6th Ayrshire (2nd) Irvine. The 6th Ayrshire was registered again in 11th October 1940 as 6th Ayrshire (Irvine Sea Scouts). The group has been running as the 1st & 6th, from our hall in Irvine town centre, a good number of years.
Like most traditional Scout troops, we provide activities and opportunities for ALL boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 18 years across four sections: Beavers, Cubs, Scouts & Explorers.
Some of the activities on offer include:
· Camps
· Badge work
· Sailing/Kayaking
· Fun & Games
Our Sections page and Diary page give further details of activities planned throughout the year.
Enjoy :)
The New Chief Scout

Bear Grylls will be the new Chief Scout of the UK Scout Association. The famous adventurer takes over when current Chief Scout, former Blue Peter presenter Peter Duncan, completes his five year tenure in July.
Bear Grylls will be the UK’s youngest Chief Scout, aged 34. Whether it is crossing oceans in an open boat, scaling Mount Everest or flying a powered paraglider to 29,000ft in the Himalayas, Bear knows a thing or two about adventure.
RNLI Troon
The 1st & 6th would like to thank the crew of the Troon RNLI Lifeboat for their generous hospitality on a recent visit.
